More book stuff

Jacob -

Mentions that Pickett was wrong about Jacob's list. He was wrong abotu a lot of things.

One part of Jacob's tapestry was a quote from "The Odyssey": "And may the Gods grant thee happiness"

When we first saw the Cabin, Jacob was no longer using it.The Man in Black put on the display for ben and Locke and made it so Locke could only hear him say "Help Me"

Jin-Soo Kwon -

Listed as Candidate #42 (but so was Sun... so....)

They do have a paragraph on Ji Yeon. Seemed like folks thought it was passed over. Probably deserved more, but she is represented.

Juliet Burke -

Listed as Candidate # 58

She was branded with the fleur-de-lis or lily flower. In France during the 17th century, criminals earned this brand for treasonous acts. (maybe everyone else knew this, but I didn't).

More book shizz...

Frank Lapidus: confirms he got the plane back to civilization.

Geronimo Jackson: A member named Floyd may have left the band to join the DI.

Ilana Verdansky: Jacob touched her face to heal her burns (maybe they showed this… I don’t remember)

The Incident:

- The bomb WAS detonated.
- Chang’s arm was later amputated

The Island: They list translations of the scripts on the island’s cork:
- “Embrace that which the Balance hath weighed, let a path be made for the Osiris in the Great Valley, and let the Osiris have light to guide him on his way.”
- “He hath reconciled the Two Fighters (Horus and Set), the guardians of life.”
- “Break the immovable yoke that we may sleep”
- “That silence may reign and we may sleep”

Notes continues...

D -

Daniel Faraday: Born off island in Essex, MA. Hawking gave him the surname Faraday whose "path" she wanted him to follow closely. It also mentions that Daniel did a ton of research on the Dharma Initiative... doesn't say why though (convenient answer to a question that always bugged me... why'd he know so much about DI even before he went to the island... unless he conscious skipped... and ... nevermind)

Danielle Rouseau: Candidate #20. There's an interesting note about her arriving after the purge. From my crummy math and Ben's entry... the purge must have JUUUUST happened when she and her crew landed.

Danny Picket: mentioned he was once considered for Jacob's candidacy.

E -

Eko: The smoke monster singled him out because he recognized him as an on island threat and wanted to remove him.

Eloise Hawking: She gave Daniel the name Faraday as an homage and a tool to keep Widmore from finding him. She left the island at 41 years old in 1978 to give birth to Daniel. She took the job at the ring store to ensure she'd run into Desmond and keep him on the correct path (not sure how she knew he'd be there... whatever)

Ethan Rom: Ethan and his mother returned to the island after the evacuation due to their relationship with Horace Goodspeed. Ethan wanted to join the Others and Widmore would allow it if he helped carry out the purge. (Guess that mean Ethan helped kill his folks... yikes.)

More notes...

Update...

Forgot a B.

Boone Carlyle: Confirms he was candidate #226

Ok... just finished C

C -

Charles Widmore: Eloise lef the island to safely have their baby (Faraday). The Purge was Widmore's call after they didn't follow the rules of the truce.

Charlotte Lewis: Cadidate #140

Christian Shephard: Confirms that it was the Man in Black as Christian who told Vincent to go wake up Jack after the crash. (This scene was depicted in a web short I believe... can't remember what seasons it was between)

Cindy Chandler: Cindy, Zach and Emma survived the mortar attack and escaped into the jungle. Also says along with Rose and Bernard, joined under Hurley's guard. (dissapointingly, it didn't really say any special converting method to joining the others. They explained their cause and she joined up basically)

More Lost Stuff!!!

I bought the Lost Encyclopedia (of course I did). It's official and shit, so it gives a few notes here and there that weren't necessarily made clear on the show (or weren't at all).

Here's some stuff I found interesting. I'll keep updating... really for my own records. But if anyone else wants to read and comment, boy that'd be swell.

Epilogue: I also read the "epilogue" of the book, it goes over the major characters in the sideways world, with some pictures, a few quotes and what their sideways journey was all about. A few interesting notes:

Sayid: Why Shannon woke him up... the love with Shannon allowed him to be the man he wanted to be. (Posters note, haha: It makes sense to me. Sayid had so much baggage and memories of the terrible life he used to lead and Nadia (not her fault but...) was a constant reminder of that. The relationship he formed with Shannon wasn't based on anything but his character)

Jack: I posted anout this one before, but the entry discusses David a little bit, and just that his upbringing was VERY similar to Jack's. (makes me think David was just a younger version of Jack so he coudl work out his father issues.)

A -

Ajira Flight 316: confirms that it was Widmore's goons that murdered the remaining passengers left on Hydra island.

Annie: Annie left the island during the women and children evacutation.

Ash: The ash circle around the cabin was broken at an undisclosed time, and it WAS used by Jacob, but after the circle was broken, the Man in Black began to use it. Ash was also used in the Sayid/Dogen tests.

B -

Ben: The "rules" Ben spoke to Widmore about in his London penthouse were to never harm each other or their families.

Blast Door Map: There's really a ton of little things here but here are a few:
The ? on the map was due to Radzinksy (R) not knowing who occupied the station.
R did not know what was going on at the Orchid
After the Purge R survived and marked the stations he could get to with the quarantine sign, and took refuge in the Swan.
The CVs that are all over the map refer to a Cerebrus Vent the name DI used for the smoke monster.

Bram: again mentions that they went to the Cabin to find Jacob but realized MiB had been using it so they burned it.

Bad News

TV season is starting and I jsut won't have time to go through the entire 6 seasons of Lost. As a consolation to the 3 people (more like 1... me) who still read this, I just re-watched the final season and finished the finale.

Everything that was awesome is still awesome. But over some time, here's a quick list of things that kind of bugged me:

- David Shephard. What happens to him? kind of sad actually. Will his parents just be gone now? What the hell is he supposed to do? Maybe that event (missing parents) leads him to the actual people that mattered in his life... or maybe he goes Kurt Russell/Vanilla Sky. Bummer.

- Miles. As a fan, I would have liked to see him in the church. But I'm ok with the idea that he lived a full happy life after the island and others were more important to him.

- Helen. Shouldn't she have been in there sitting with Locke? And if not her, Boone. He felt out of place sitting in the back with Sawyer and Juliet.

- Why can Jin speak perfect English in the sideways after waking up? Not really a complaint, just kind of funny.

- I think Boone and Shannon probably should have "triggered" each other... but they didn't have another way to get Sayid to wake up. It could have been Nadia but they used her too much and maybe... maaaaaybe they didn't plan ahead? No way.

- Still bums me out that Mikhail/Omar/Keamy are able to be killed. This is they're afterlife too. Maybe they're rotten shits and go to hell? Bummer.

- Hurley never said goodbye to anyone on the island. Still bugs me... but the epilogue takes care of that. I'm sure he got to see them all again.

- The plane didn't have to leave. Jack fixed it. But they didn't know that. Kind of a bummer. They wanted to leave anyway I guess.

Anyway, still the best ep of television ever.

So that's it for Lost right now. I'll watch em all again at some point. Hopefully soon. Might still try and update this site with other crappy tv stuff.

See ya!

Lost Epilogue

So there's a Lost Epilogue that came with the boxset, that I foudn pretty great, and here's the recap: QUIT READING NOW IF YOU DON'T WANT TO KNOW WHAT HAPPENS!!!!!
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
OK....

Starts off at a Dharma Warehouse where a couple of dudes are building the Dharma food drop pallets. They put them on drones that get coordinates from the Lamp Post station.

Ben shows up telling them there's a new man in charge (Hurley) and he tells them they're shutting the place down, they get fat stacks of cash and Ben shows them the Hydra Orientation film cuz they're rightfully dumbfounded. The video doesn't help them much... but it does answer a lot or clarify a lot for us, even if we'd pretty much come up with it ourselves by now anyway. here's what we learned:

- Pierre Chnag says all his different names are used as a security precaution.
- The giant bird that shows up in the first few seasons, "the Hurley Bird", was created by Dharma and they released it on the island.
- The polar bears had the right memory and adaptibility to be a part of Dharma's tests. Once the were smart enough they were collared and sent to the Orchid where we know they were used to move the island and wound up in Tunisia.
- Also alluded to the electromagnetism on the island being the cause of the pregnancy issues.
- Room 23 was used to interrogate Hostiles and then they wiped their minds with the video and some drugs.

The Ben leaves and he goes to visit someone at Santa Rosa Mental Institution.

WALT!!!

I guess he stayed out there after visiting Hurley.

Ben wants Walt to come back to his home to the island because Walt is special and he belongs there. Ben also says even though Michael is dead, Walt can still help him.

They leave and get in a van where Hurley is waiting and he's excited to take Walt back, and he basically tells us that Walt's gonna be the next island protector.

Anyway, it was nice to see, lots of info and great tp see that Walt, Michael, Hurley, Ben all will have a happy ending (Desmond too, cuz if they come and go from the island he can too). Also nice to see that Hurley will be able to see his pals and let his family know what's up. Maybe let other's know what happened to their family too (ex. Jack's Mom).

So good stuff. I'm gonna start my rewatch soon. Come JOIN US!!!

Finally, there's a whole epilogues with Ben and Hurley that never aired (you can find it online, but I'm waiting). I'll post a recap once I've watched it, and then dive into the re-watch.

Flash-sideways

Well i had a REALLY exciting Memorial Day weekend, so I watched a bunch if this season's eps again focusing on the sideways world that we now know as "Purgatory". Basically just looking for hints at the end game plan for this world. Not sure is anyone is reading this still but here were some pertinent notes this round:

Ep 1-2:

- Jack has his neck cut, recognizes Desmond, and just barely recognizes Kate as she;s coming out of the bathroom.

- Charlie hints at what we learn later... he was supposed to die (or at least he wanted to)

- Rose seems like she could already have "flashed" over, and when we see Bernard much later in the season, he has too. Makes sense, they're soul mates.

- Boone. If you go back and read my first ep recap from earlier int he season, you'll see that I noticed something was up with him even back then. I thought he had just become a better actor... but maybe he had already flipped over!!! Seeing Locke could have done it, or trying to get Shannon back from Australia maybe.

- Two red herrings... The island is in the bottom of the sea... and it turns out that never mattered. Also, Juliet says (to Miles while she's dead) "It Worked". Like the bomb going off? Nope, the candy machine turned back on and dropped Sawyer his apollo bar.

Ep 3: Kate

- The singular episodes focus primarly on the significant change and growth the characters have made. For example... Kate. Rather than running from the Claire baby situation, she came back to help. She used to run.

- Kate almost flashes on Jack outside the airport.

- Claire's belongings seem to almost trigger her as well.

Ep 4: Locke

- Lockes accepts his place in the world. Although later he's ready to get fixed. But either way he seems at peace.

- Meets Rose.... she doesn't give any serious indications that she knows anything funny, but she does send him to the school where Ben teaches, so it sort of helps. She also tells him about accepting cancer, and maybe he should do the same.

Ep 5: Jack

- Jack has a son to work through his daddy issues.

- His appendix scar? Nope. Where Locke stabbed him in the finale.

Ep 6: Sayid

- Dealing with beign a good or bad man. I wonder if this storyline might have been Eko's if he had stuck around.

- He can't be with Nadia, too many bad things always happen. Althoguh the Shannon thing was sort of convenient.

Ep 7: Ben

- Father figure stuff. He chooses Alex this time over his own desires.

- Another tease about Dharma.... didn't end up mattering.

Ep 8: Sawyer

- Not really sure what Sawyer was workign on... he was a better dude, but nothing esle really changed. I guess he worked out most of his stuff in the real world.

Ep 9: Richard

- Not really a flash ep but his wife did say to Hurley that they already were together. Maybe talking about the "light" they all went into. Maybe?

Ep 10: Jin and Sun

- Another one I wasn't real sure what they needed to improve on... and maybe NONE of them did.

- A question, I think we already asked, Mikhail/Omar/Keamy all died. So are they fucked for the afterlife? Was this world real for them too? Cuz it was real for others: Daniel, Eloise, etc. Maybe their connections just didn't reach that far so they were phonies (like David Shephard).

Ep 11: Desmond....

From here on out its Desmond, Hurley and then the group eps... so it all starts to come together for them... but those were some early season notes that I thought you might find interesting.

Still planning on doing a fuuuuuuuuuuuuulllllll series recap of stuff but I'll probably wait for the Blu Ray series to come out in late August.

Later.

The Final Episode: The End

Ok, had some time now and watched it a couple of times. We already touched on a strong majority of the show below, but I thought I'd watch it one more time, sort of taking notes as the show went on...

SHOW NOTES:

- For starters, the music on this series is unbelievable.

- Pretty sure that's the director's dog, also the Jacob Cabin dog painting crossing the street when Hugo and Sayid are going to get Charlie. Neat little note.

- Good piece of acting with Hurley being so happy to see Charlie. Or at least it was real nice to see. Like most of this ep.

- I know it made Peter and myself laugh at the size of the bush Sawyer was hiding behind.

- Good to see Rose/Bernard/Vincent (more on him later). At least they weren't so lame this time. (and from the looks of things they probably enjoy a nice island life with Hurley and whatever other fools show up to the island).

- Richard being alive was good to see.

-Juliet is back as the fertility doctor for Jin and Sun, and we get our first "awakening" of the ep. Pretty heavy stuff, if you didn't get chills watching these scenes then you probably should quit reading this and question whether or not you actually have a soul.

- My bro Pete does bring up a good point... why would they be so happy about realizing they were dead? Well, whatever it is they're preparing to leave for must be pretty great and I think they know that. Could also be an understanding that these weren't REAL lives they'd been leaving... kind of shells. Now they're complete... I dunno.

- Richard's got a grey hair! Jacob's dead so now he's aging. Good thing he didn't go all dude from the Last Crusade who chose the wrong grail.

- LAPIDUS!!!!! What a bad ass.

- Two tribes merge again and we're headed to the center of the island.

- Juliet is Jack's ex wife... sort of figured. What I don't get is why David even exists. I guess he was created to help Jack get over his daddy issues and he could "let go". Actually yeah I like that. Sort of a bummer for Davey though.

- I liked that Desmond didn't actually have all the answers he just thought he did. And I really liked his speech to Jack, even if he was wrong. Jack delivers a very important line: "All of this matters"

- Hurley tells Jack he believes in him. good stuff. The Hurley/Jack interactions really got to me.

- Jack and Locke were BOTH right. Locke needed him to take out the island so he could leave, but Jack was right that it would turn him mortal.

-Good speech from Hugo to Sayid (sorry for jumping on and off island, but it does it so much this ep, its almost impossible not to)

- Shannon's back. Sweet sexy Shannon. And Sayid and her flash. I'm sure some people are worked up over him not being with Nadia, but it never worked with Nadia, she kept getting hurt.

- Boone. How d'ya think he got "enlightened"? Seriously.

- They needed Desmond to unplug the island. (by the way, trying to figure out who built these island contraptions, etc is frankly too much at this point for me to grasp). His condition made it possible. Lots of skeletons down there. Maybe from when they were building it.

- Widmore/Drive Shaft concert. Liam shows up for ZERO lines... nice of him to do it though.

- Charlie sees Claire. Thought Chuck had a real strong episode.

- Jack gets knocked out by a boulder from Locke. His brain is mush at this point.

- Was hoping we'd get more from Eloise this year, but it's pretty clear she had been awakened a long time ago, and was holding onto this world because she enjoyed he time with her son. It was actually kind of a sweet scene. I do wonder why she is against moving on, when everyone else seems to be totally for it. Actually one of my bigger questions from this finale... which is par for the course with Eloise Hawking.

- Claire, Kate and Charlie all flash over. Pretty great scene. More Chills. Actually there were more scenes with chills than without in this ep. Sort of true.

- That tree hitting Ben seemed like it would be a pretty big deal... guess not.

- Epic fight scene between Locke and Jack. we see how Jack gets his sideways world scars. Also, I'm sure you've all noticed how Jack was stabbed in the same spot that the big JC was when he was on the cross. I'll let you figure that one out.

- Kate kills Locke. Kinda cool.

- Jack fixed Locke and he WAKES UP! Jack keeps getting closer and closer.

- Great scene with the Suns and them knowing who Sawyer is, but he doesn't yet.

- I guess the plane was in better shape then I remember, AND it wasn't nearly as big. So, while it's still a stretch... I'm alright with those guys fixing it.

- Good final Sawyer and Jack scene (could of used more of them) but even better Kate and Jack scene. There last REAL WORLD interaction.

- A little bummed out that Hurley didn't really say goodbye to either Sawyer or Kate, but it's awesome he stayed with Jack. Also very cool that Ben wants to go down with the ship.

- Got a little bit of a Frodo/Sam vibe from Jack and Hurley in this ep.

- Sawyer/Juliet. Great stuff. A call back to her dying and recognizing the other world earlier in the season.

- Kate tries to trigger Jack. She says "I've missed you SO much". I think that's proof that she made it off the island with the Ajira flight. She lived a long life and hadn't seen Jack in so long.

- I sort of saw the Hurley transfer of power coming a mile away, but it was still a cool moment between those two. Also a great scene between Ben and Hurley. Desmond's ok too... more on that later. At first I thought Ben was going to try and kill them... but watching it again, he just looks genuinely excited to see some island magic going down.

- Jack gets Desmond to safety and plugs up the island. "I'll see ya in another life brother" Awesome.

Not sure why he didn't become a smoke monster once it started up again. I think it must have had something to do with Mother's rules for Jacob and Smokey. When he did a header into the cavem it would have killed him, which Jacob can't do... so there it seperated his evil black soul. Smoke Monster!

- Kate and Sawyer grab Claire and make it to the plane.

- Ajira makes it off the island... sort of neat to see the passengers:

1- Other
2- Freighters
3 - 815ers

- Ben and Hurley will run the island... more on that below.

- Excellent Locke and Ben scene. Ben says Locke was special. That's as close to a Walt answer as you're going to get. Hope that makes sense.

- Hurley lets Ben know he was a great #2 and Ben says Hurley was a great #1. More PROOF that they lived their lives after the crash. There wouldn't be TWO purgatories. (word?)

- Also, Ben decides to stay. Probably for two reasons, A) he doesn't belong with that group and B) he really does still have some stuff to work out, Alex, Danielle, etc. Good for him.

- Jack makes it to the church and sees CHRISTIAN. Other than the character aspects of this scene, Jack and his father finally having their moment they needed since season 1, Christian says some pretty important things:

1) They're all real. Everything that happened to them was real.
2) There's no time here. They all needed to be there, it started after they were all dead
3) Some died before Jack and some after. Again, Whatever Happened, Happened.
4) They built this place together, they needed each other to remember... and to...
5) let go.

- A happy ending as they all see and greet each other again, and ascend off into... well whatever it is. Together... Live together, die alone. Sorry, went for the cheese there, but if you've been reading for this long I doubt you mind.

- Interspliced with this is Jack (who was launched out of the cave, think something like Eko, Desmond, and Locke after the hatch implosion) slowly making his way back to the bamboo forrest where it all started for him (notice the tennis shoe in the tree from the pilot ep).

- Just as he's laying down to die, Vincent comes down (like in the pilot) and lays down with him to keep him company. I think that one scene affected me more than any other in the history of... well tv I guess.

- Jack looks up and see his friends made it, and the eye closes. I actually believe that they had that scene from very early on. Just perfect.

FINAL THOUGHTS ON THE SIDEWAYS WORLD:

- Some think they were dead this entire time, since the original plane crash... couldn't disagree more.

- EVERYTHING THAT HAPPENED ON THE ISLAND HAPPENED. Them leaving, them coming back, them time traveling, it was ALL real. I might be wrong. But I doubt it.

- I don't think this is JUST Jack's purgatory (for lack of a better word). They all had realizations, they all built it together. Others there are still waiting to leave. At some point I'm sure Ben, Alex, Danielle, Eloise, Daniel Faraday, maybe even Charles Widmore, and many others will have their own send off. Of course we won't see that. Someone like Eko? Well the people or person most important to him and his journey was Yemi, so he probably left with him. (also he refused to come back for the show unless they paid him a shit load, but whatever)

- Some things I really can't explain like why Aaron was a little kid and not grown if it was his purgatory... and why Miles wasn't there, seems like he had quite an attachment to some of these guys.

- Long story short, I wouldn't get too hung up on WHO was in the actual church, it was just a nice way to send them off. They all get a happy ending... which some people might think is a big cop out, but it certainly made me happy.

- A lot of it was probably unnecessary, like why the island was at the bottom of the ocean? Certainly some misdirection by the writer's kind of unfair, but whatever, they had to keep the storyline alive all season and keep us guessing as to what it really was. In the end, it was a perfect way to see all their "greatest hits" and bring them all together again. Plus, those scenes where they remember... I mean... c'mon.

SO WHAT HAPPENED AFTER WHAT WE SAW?

- Well, everyone's moved on... they "live" in the afterlife, and all is swell.

- How about in the more immediate future... let's do a final check of where were at:

- The final shots of the beach have been generating a lot of debate. I think it was just a nice shot of the beach again, cuz unfortunately we never really saw it this ep. Also, the typical theme music there is pretty ominous and suspenseful

- Hurley and Ben run the island, with Bernard, Rose and Vincent, and probably the rest of the Others who survived. I'm guessing they find Jack at some point... I hope at least. I like Ben's last line... do it your way (paraphrasing) I'll assume that means he got Desmond off the island... was probably even able to visit his folks and let them know he'd be ok. Hopefully someone talked to the Kwons, and Jack's mom as well.

- Also fun to think about what happened to those guys on the Ajira flight afterwards.

- Frank probably went back to his normal life.

- Miles, same deal, hopefully he had those diamonds still.

- Richard, probably used one of his Mittelos identities to blend in.

- Sawyer, Kate and Claire? That gets a little trickier. Especially for Kate. They're all supposed to be dead, and Kate told everyone that was the case. Ahhh... I'm sure they'll figure it out.

Well... that's about it for now. It's definitely one of my favorite eps of the series, and my favorite series finale ever.

If you've got any more comments let's hear em! What did you think? What did I miss?

Oh, also, mostly for my own benefit, I'll definitely be going through all the eps again and if we don't have an answer for an outstanding question from the show... well... we'll make one up!

A good run. This was fun. Thanks for all who participated.

TV will suck now.

PS. This took a long time to type so I didn't really proof read anything.

Finale thoughts...

I'm still working on a recap post, but I'm not sure it'll in contain more than "this was awesome" and "I loved that".

Obviously there was a ton that went unanswered, but hopefully you don't care about that... at least not RIGHT NOW.

Started the season with a Season 3 Jack depression beard...

... and we'll finish it with one too!!!

My favorite television ep in the history of tv. Hopefully I've got a new one after Sunday!

Episode 16: What They Died For

Let's cut to the chase...

THIS WHOLE FUCKING THING JUST GOT ERASED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

DAMNIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So quick and dirty now.... god Im furious.

Off Island:

Jack's neck is cut again, that will be important.

Locke WANTS the surgery now, because...

Desmond beat the shit out of Ben and Ben "remembered" and helped convince Locke that something was up!

Desmond is also working on getting everyone together still through a variety of methods.

Essentially Desmond and now Hurley (who I wonder why he's so fully behind Desmond's plan, what are the ramifications of this world?) are gonna get everyone in one place... the Concert/Museum event. Including Jack's ex wife which will be Juliette.

Who haven't we seen this year? Eko, Shannon, Walt? Any other regulars?

On-Island:

I had a lot of my favorite things here, but let's go over the two important things from Jack's group:

- Young Jacob needed his ashes to become full Jacob, and he got to do that, because he can't be killed until he's chosen his successor. There! An answer! Even if we had to come up with most of it by ourselves

- The candidates coudl be anyone... which bugs me, because it seems like the RULES would prevent Smokey from killing anyone? Why cross ANYONE off the list? I know Jacob only wants someone who has nothing else going on, but whatever.

- Jack takes the gig, but hopefully he won't get stuck with it... cuz he's rad and the job sucks.

- Widmore and Zoe are dead... hopefully not Richard. Miles bolts. Ben is on Locke's side... not really. I don't buy it. He's gonna turn on him. Also... Miles STILL hasn't heard Smokey speak.. does that mean he can still kill him?

- Before Ben killed him, Widmore let Locke know that (and us... actually he didn't tell this ALL to Locke) that Jacob brought him back to the island, and he brought Desmond, because of his Magneto like powers... and he might be able to stop Locke.

- So they go to get him (Des) but he's gone!!! Who helped him? (Lapidus?) Even still, Locke plans on using him to destroy the island.

OK... where is everyone?

MIA:

- Claire

- Miles

- Bernard, Rose, and Vicnent

- Lapidus (dead?)

- Richard (dead?)

- Desmond

Jack, Sawyer, Hurley, Kate (Jacob is probably gone at this point)

Locke, Ben

Others... doubt we'll see them again

Widmore's crew... they're all dead as far as I'm concerned.

Ok... well I had a ton more, but I'm beyond pissed and don't want to deal with it now after it was all lost. Hopefully I'll add mroe stuff as the day goes on, cuz...

I'm going as cold turkey as I can with the Internet over the next few days. Avoid Spoilers. So I'll need this for my fix. PLEASE TALK TO ME. Don't bring outside stuff.

Ok, what'd ya think? What did I miss?

Monday, May 17, 2010

Where we're at...

Ok, tried this before and I forgot some people, but let's see where everyone is at:

Locke and Claire

Widmore, Zoe, and his goons

Richard, Ben, and Miles

Jack, Kate, Sawyer, and Hurley who are searching for...

Desmond

Who else?

The Others... possibly

Bernard, Rose and Vincent

I think that's it.

(Lapidus... still hope)

Episode 15: Across The Sea

TWO MEDIUM TOTINOS PIZZAS?!??! WHAT THE FUCK?!?!?

Ok, seriously... pretty disapointed. I know they can't ANSWER a lot of this stuff... but don't even try if this is what you're gonnna hit us with.

Quick rundown of some thoughts... I'll do more later:

- Still don't know Smokey's name... but we did meet his crazy mother who he alluded to.

- So whoever runs the island can make the rules. Not sure why they wouldn't make them more stringent though.

- Seems like her biggest rule is Jacob and ? can't hurt each other. Jacob obvioucly made a bunch more rules.

- Smokey can see dead people. Interesting.

- Thought it was a little weird that Jacob continues to bring people to the island if he's supposed to protect it from them. Whatever.

- Saw how Smokey got made. Ok

- Saw how the frozen donkey wheel was put into play... not sure how these idiots figured it would warp them off the island. Whatever.

- Was the Temple built on top of the Golden Spring?

- So Lady? and Man? are Adam and Eve. Not sure how there clotehs have lasted over a htousand years... but at least its a solid answer.

-I could have used one more scene where some of the rules were discussed, and then some Jacob interaction with Richard. But alas we'll never get it.

I have a bunch more I'd like to say but I'm too tired and frustrated.

Well... two more eps to go.

The Candidate Revisited

Ok... I'm ready to watch it again.

Just thought I'd give it a little more detail. Notes on the ep. So here we go... just straight through the ep. Probably a lot of repeating...

Off Island:

- Locke wakes up and tells Jack "I know you" the first of a ton of hints about the other world. Sure he met him in the airport, but it felt like more.

- Jack thinks Locke is a "candidate" for a new surgery. The first reference to the title.

- Bernard seems to remember the Locke case pretty closely... and he seems to almost understand what's going on.

- Jack really gets the Flight 815 references this ep.

- Poor Anthony Cooper. Just kidding.

- "Push the button" "I wish you had believed me" more overlapping of the worlds

- Claire and Jack share another mirror moment, and an Apollo bar, and an 815 reference... really starting to bug Jack

- Sounds like Christian's fate was almost identical in both worlds. Wonder if there's anything to that.

- Nice of Jack to let Claire stay with him.

-Locke seeing Jin... and he recognizes him... another hint at the world's colliding... but also a hopeful reminder that there COULD be some saving them all still. Not sure if I like it or not.

- Just an AWESOME scene by M Fox and Terry O'quinn.

- "I wish you believed me" again.

On Island:

- Widmore locks em up, and he seems to know about the list of candidates. Not sure how. Either he IS working with Smokey, or maybe Eloise told him... since she knows everything else.

- Sayid says the Others scattered... I hope we see them again and they maybe meet up with Richard's team.

- Why DID Locke save Jack from the mortar blasts? I guess he knew he needed him to get to the other candidates.

- Sawyer gives us confirmation again that Kate's name was crossed out in the cave... still dont know about the lighthouse.

- Sun gives Jin back his wedding ring, but no mention of the DS ring from Charlie for Aaron. I guess we definitely won't see it now.

- You'd think Widmore's pylons would be tougher to knock out then just cutting the power.

- Kate still wants Jack to come home

- Sawyer thanks Jack. Nice of him.

- So the plane was gaurded my Widmore goons, did they rig the plane? Seems like Widmore would know that Locke wasn't ACTUALLY gonna get off the island that way. Either Widmore's an idiot or he really did want all the 815'ers to die.

- Who rigged the plane? Richard's team? Guess they didn't really care that it would kill their "friends".

- Still think it's lame that they REALY thought the plane would take off... and still might?

- Locke shows them the C4, when did he have time to rig it? Oh well.

- I think Sawyer thought the water would neutralize Locke.. maybe it slowed him down... I dunno.

- Two dudes on the sub... hope they made it out ok. Just kidding. Fuck em.

- Awesome line from Jack in response to Locke's pleading to leave the island: "JOhn Locke told me I needed to stay" BOOM cross check into the water.

- Locke is really lucky Kate got shot. Otherwise Jack never gets on the sub with the bomb. Another point for the Widmore is on Locke's side argument.

- Claire is a sniper!!!!

- They leave Claire again? Sawyer is a dick.

-Just remembering the Locke / Claire season 2 or 3 stuff. Kind of crazy they're still hanging out.

- God no. The bomb.

- I think Jack is exactly right about the rules

- Jack's line about trusting him was probably a pretty dumb thing to say to Sawyer, since the last time he trusted him around a bomb it got Juliet killed.

- Sayid's line to Jack... "It's going to be you Jack" Could be as simple as, you'll be the one to stop Locke, or does he somehow know more about Jack being THE Candidate

- Sayid goes out saving his friends, and is a GOOD person. Strong exit. I got chills. There's a really cool slomo shot of him running.

- Like I said... still holding out hope for Lapidus.

- THERE IS NO SAYID. Powerful stuff.

- When Sawyer gets knocked out I remember saying "Jesus Christ!"

- More powerful stuff with Jin and Jack. They both know they're dead. Pretty emotional.

- What can you say about Jin and Sun. At least they died together. That made it a little easier to take. Seriously rough stuff. Great job by both of them.

- That damn (great) song.

- Just the four of them left... for now. (same four who were called to other side of the island in season 2 with Michael. Im sure its just a coincidence, but kind of neat).

- They all breakdown. More great performances.

I think this goes down as a top 10 episode.

Episode 14: The Candidate

Wow. Wow. Wow.

This is basically a taste of how rough the finale will be cuz then they're all gone. And they just wiped out THREE original cast members. Sun. Jin. (Ji Yeon and orphan now) Sayid (went out a good guy though).

I really don't have a ton to add to this ep. I'm tired... defeated... depressed.

Off-Island... it's all bleeding over. TONS of hints at them realizing the other world.

On Island... heartbreak.

Sun and Jin... at least they died together. Very sad about Ji Yeon though. They were back together for about a day. Very sad. And did they REALLY have to show them slipping away at the end. It's a good thing I hap company to watch this with.

Sayid... looks like Desmond's words had an impact. He died a good guy. Trying to save his friends.

He also had some very interesting words for Jack. He told him where to find a very much ALIVE Desmond.... and that Jack would be IT... or something like that. He must be the candidate.

Poor Claire is stuck with Locke... could she be his replacement? Brother/sister Jack/Claire... were Locke and Jacob brothers? I hope Claire doesn't get screwed.

Next week's ep looks like the one we've been waiting for... Man In Black and Jacob.

This is very sad but I couldn't help make the connection between Sawyer pulling the wire and Jack dropping Jughead. And YES, I know Sawyer made the more logical move... but I think Jack spelled out the rules. MiB can't kill them. They had to do it themselves. No way the bomb was going off without some help.

We're left with...

Jack
Kate (but for how long?)
Hurley
Sawyer

Widmore?
His chick?
Cronies?

The Others?
Cindy and the Kids? (doubt we'll see ANY of them anymore)

Locke
Claire

Desmond

and...

Lapidus. DID YOU SEE A DEAD BODY? Me neither. He's alive until I hear otherwise.

Sorry... just trying to leave on a happy note.

That was a tough one.

Thoughts?

I didn't say much, but what can ya say?

What do you want to see?

So... like I said, no new episode this week.. Lame.

So here's this week's thread:

What do you want to see before the show ends?

Realistic? Jack saves the day.

UnRealistic? Walt gets some vengeance and he gets his dog back.

Alright... Erik, Montoya, maybe Sean... you're up.

Episode 13: The Last Recruit

Another great episode, really feels like we're charging into the finale.

Off Island:

So Sun recognizes Locke... cuz she's dying! Another flash. Be interesting to see what she says in future episodes.

Other possible flashes are being set up:

- Desmond is trying to get Claire together with Jack (and Ilana, but who cares about her blown up ass), but that flash trigger is interrupted by...

- Jack being called to perform surgery on Locke... which I sort of already predicted. This will have huge implications when Jack saves him. Just not sure what they'll be.

On Island:

- The Jack and Locke talk had some nice "revelations":

1. Smoke monster needs you to be dead before he can impersonate you.
2. He was Christian.

Not sure if I believe 1. don't believe 2.

- The Jack and Claire reunion was nice. But I've really been waiting for Jack to take a big brother type role. He did for a blink and then bailed on her again. Kind of disappointed me there.

- Although didn't Claire say Locke told her he was pretending to be Christian? Wouldn't that indicate to her that he led her away from the others and THAT'S how she got left on the island? Why would she be happy or even close to ok with that?

- Hey Cindy and the stupid kids are still around!!! I've given up on getting any answers on Other conversion or history their... so frankly I hope they were blown up in the same Widmore bombs that the rest of those neandrathal looking mother fuckers were.

- Great Desmond/Sayid scene. No way Desmond is dead. No way.

- Claire makes it anyway... to the boat. Pretty sad that they almost left her again.

- Jack "jumps ship". Good Juliet apology though (still thinking she'll be Sawyer's "flash").

- The Jin and Sun reunion was nice, but was anyone else kind of worried that those pylons were gonna fry em?

- Widmore duoble crosses Sawyer... but not really. Didn't Sawyer say he'd deliver Locke? Well he didn't. And why the fuck did Sawyer think just showing up would work anyway?

- Meanwhile... it's Jack and Locke.... DA DA DAAAAAAAA!!!!

Getting good!

No ep next week... boooooo

Ok, what did I miss? What did you think?

Monday, April 19, 2010

Prediction

Maybe I already covered this... but I'll go ahead anyway...

Desmond's crashing into Locke was an attempt to get him to flash over to the other world and see what Hurley, Desmond, Charlie, Libby and Faraday have already seen.

Not sure how this will play out... but this part will be good... Locke will show up in Jack's hospital and Jack SAVING Locke will awaken the real Locke in the Smoke Monster... a battle for the body type thing begins.

Jack saves the day.

Episode 12: Everybody Loves Hugo

Awesome episode. I loved it.

Off-Island:

So we continue the theme of true love, or at least some SERIOUS connection, a CONSTANT if you will... will trigger your memory of the "other" world. Hugo and Libby were more proof of that.

Also, seems pretty clear what Desmond decided he needed to do, and that is to trigger these memories from certain indivduals. Well... it seemed like his mission was clear... until he WIPED OUT LOCKE!!! Gotta have something to do with his on-island self... which is still pretty vague... but he would have a bone to pick with Locke, wouldn't he? That brings us to the Island storylines...

On-Island:

Locke takes fearless Desmond to another electro magnetic hotspot... then rumble dumps him. (SPOILER ALERT: Previews showed him alive, or I'd be outraged) Sort of saw that coming from a ways away. Surprised Desmond didn't... what with his future seeing powers... HAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!

Meanwhile, on the other side of the island... Ilana Arzt'd herself. Seriously... good job Jacob body guards. I mean I guess Ilana served her purpose, but I really thought there would be more to her.

Anyway, ultimately Richard, Ben and Miles go for the ammo and explosives at the Dharma barracks (cuz Hurley blew up the Black Rock) to try and blow up the plane... but Hurley thinks they should go talk to Locke, cuz dead Michael told him so. Good to see Michael back and get a little more closure. (fingers still crossed for Walt).

Awesome stuff here with Jack and Hurley. Great scene. ALSO... the whispers EXPLAINED! The whispers are the trapped souls on the island. THERE'S YOUR ANSWERS!!!

Michael helps them find Locke's camp and the two parties converge with the stare down of Jack and Locke. Love it.

A couple of other funny notes:

- Anyone else hear Hugo mention his next charity event was for the Human Fund? George Costanza!!!

- Jack and Richard had some funny banter after Ilana blew herself up (seriously, what the fuck was she thinking throwing that shit around like that) but line of the night goes to Sawyer again: "You talk to wood now?"

- Nice Sam Levine cameo. Not a huge celeb... but Freaks and Geeks/Inglorious Basterds need to be celebrated.

That's what I got for now. Not sure why, but one of my favorites of the season.

What did I miss?

What did you think?

Good night... and good luck.

Episode 11: Happily Ever After

Here we gooooooooooo...

So Desmond is once again special and he seems to have figured SOMETHING out. Only he won't share it with us the viewers.

Faraday is on to it as well... somehow. So is Charlie... somehow.

And it appears that Eloise knows ALLLLLL about it. Seems happy about it too. Why not... her son is alive and well.

So you need true love to connect to the other world?

What does Desmond know? How'd he figure it out? Why'd he want to help Widmore but then suddenly go with Sayid (who saved Desmond... for some reason).

What does Desmond want to show the 815ers?

What is Widmore's plan? How can Desmond help? (looks like he survived another Magnetic blast or whatever, just ike he did when he turned the failsafe key).

I have no clue.

Classic Lost epsiode. We're ramping up, with hints at answers but nothing really.

My head's spinning.

Your thoughts?

The End.

Episode 10: The Package

Oooooooooweeeeeeee

Off-Island:

Jin and Sun ain't married but they screw... and are in love too.

They filled in how Jin got in the locker and even our old friend Mikhail showed up... lost his eye again too.

Now... depending on what you think these "side flashes" are, Sun getting shot could have HUUUUGE implications. Alot of people seem to think these side flashes might be the epilogue to the story, the aftermath of the Jacob vs Man In Black war. Whoever you chose.. right or wrong, it impacts your alternate life. I'll elaborate a little later on in the week with what I THINK might happen... but either way... pretty bad news for Sun. I hope she's ok :(

On - Island:

Not a ton to comment on here, it was a great episode though.

- Widmore's peeps took Jin because he knows where the electro-magnetism is on the island, (because of the search grids he was running for Sawyer back in the Dharma days... which brings to mind... why didn't any of the Others ever realize that Sawyer and Jin were actually back in Dharmaville for an extended time??!? Chalk that up to "we'll never know"). Either the magnetism will help them defeat the Locke monster or Widmore has alterior motives. Something to keep an eye on.

- Looks like Sayid is a shell of the man he once was... literally. Locke takes him along to get Jin back.

- Locke wants Jin back cuz he might be a candidate. He seems to be implying he needs their help to get off the island. I'll bet he just needs them dead... but he can;'t do it. For some island rule reason. Still like to hear those.

- Anyone else worried anytime someone says they are taking the outriggers? One of them is getting shot by Juliette from last season.

- Just before they leave.. Sawyer has one of the best lines in the history of the show: "No, cuz that'd be ridiculous" That killed me.

- Locke confronts Widmore... stand off.. even quote Widmore back to him... when he was Locke. Anyway...

- Locke returns empty handed... but no Sayid either... who is spying on the sub and what happened to be in that locked door.... DESMOND!!! Sayid didn't seem to care, cuz he's crazy.. and Desmond is all drugged up. Good to have him back though ( but from the looks of the preview and the bagpipes playing Amazing Grace... I think he might be in trouble.)

- On the other side... long story short... Sun can't talk, but Jack figured it out and she can at least communicate now. She's on board with Richard's plan... they want to blow up the plane so Smokey can't leave. Really? That's how he was going to leave? No fracking way. Anyway...

What did I miss? What do you think?

Gonna try and post a prediction thread later this week... might be fun if others (heehee) chime in.

Later.

Tuesday, March 23, 2010

Episode 9: Ab Aeterno

WHOOOOOAAAAAAA.... WE'RE HALF WAY THEEEEEERE!!!

Seriously, half the season is over.

Well this was a very revealing episode... but I don't have a ton to add.

Huge reveals. Richard was a prisoner on the Black Rock and it was launched into the statue and shattered it. (Pretty crummy explanation, but I'll take it. I guess Jacob conjured up a HUGE storm). The island is a place to contain the evil that is Smokey (if we believe Jacob).

Richard acts as Jacob's mouthpiece.

And thanks to Hurley (and Isabella) it would appear that his crisis of faith is over.

Don't think I'm dismissing this ep, I thought it was great... but what we learned is pretty clear cut. And what we still don't know... Who to trust? What's Smokey's name? etc. is still up in the air.

Couple of things that I noted:

- Captain Hanso.... always figured that was how Alvar Hanso and Dharma intially found the island, but they all got wiped out in the crash so.... also... how the hell did the ship's log make it off the island? (the one Widmore was bidding on back in the Constant)

- The knife is back. Special knife.

- Why do the Others kill? If Richard is speaking for Jacob... why does Jacob get involved? I thought he was hands off? Or maybe it;'s just the leaders who make the call and Richard has to follow their lead. How'd they start anyway? Jacob told him to?

Questions like those can go on and on and I've formulated a number of answers, but not sure anyone cares. Let's see if we can get a dialogue going on this thread, and if not... well i'll keep it to myself.

Also, one of you Bibley people want to chime in about the wine? Who give who wine in the Bible to pass the time? anyone?

Next week's looks like a Sun and Jin episode. Going down the home stretch.

Anyway, what did you all think?

Tuesday, March 16, 2010

Episode 8: Recon

Sawyer's back.

Off Island:

- He's a cop you idiot!!!

- So who shows up... Miles, Charlotte, Liam Pace... and oh, he catches Kate at the end (my bro caught this... Why'd he let Kate leave the airport when he knew she was in cuffs?)

- Sounded like Ford was going after Anthony Cooper... which is weird since he still seems like he;s pals with Locke. So did he cause Ford's family situation and then reform? I dunno.

- Anyone been noticing that each of our Losties have taken long looks at their reflections in each flash sideways? Hmmmm.... WHAT COULD THAT SYMBOLIZE or be hinting at?

- Few side notes:

A) Jodi Lynn O'Keefe... what did she decide to get hot again? Anyone see her on Prison Break.. it wasn't pretty. She looked smokin' tonight though. Good for her.
B) That James Ford... he banged 'em all. Seriously... by my count the only major character he didn't have an excuse for not jamming, was Libby. He bagged Charlotte, Kate, Juliette, Ana-Lucia... and had pretty decent excuses for the rest: Sun (married), Claire (preggers), Nikki (never knew who she was), Rose (old). Pretty impressive stuff Sawyer.

On Island:

- Sawyer stayed back to take care if Jin. Which is cool... but every time they send Sawyer down the dark path, they quickly bring him back to being a pretty decent guy. From the looks of things, he isn't running ENTIRELY solo... he'll try and bring his friends along. I was kind of hoping that Sawyer would be the 2nd in command bad dude and then turn on Locke at the end... guess not.

- Locke tells the Others that the Black Smoke killed the people at the Temple. Truuuuuue... but he later tells Sawyer the truth. I guess he feels some people can handle it and others (haha) can't. Looks like Sayid knows... and speaking of Sayid....

- He looks pretty crazy to me still. And Claire's right there too. When will someone ask Claire why she just left her baby in the trees?

- It MUST have been Smokey acting as Christian when she left the fire back in season 4. Cuuuuzzz.... Locke seems to have interest in her being crazy and being Aaron's mother.... just like his mommy. I think this was a big deal. Anyone reading this read the Bible? Are there any crazy mother's int hat book? Seriously, I'm asking.

- Last thing her before Sawyer returns (oh wait he left, better get to that in a second...). Really looks like Locke is working on Kate. Not sure she's buying in though.

- So Locke sends Sawyer on a "recon" mission. There's a plane they can use to get off the island!!!! Yeah fucking right.

- All the Ajira people are dead. (I'm betting Widmore was telling the truth and he didn't kill them... Smokey did).

- Sawyer gets snagged by Zoe and Widmore's people. They're setting up there base (with those pylons).

- No clue what Widmore's end game is... probably island control, and I guess he wants to get rid of the smoke monster, but I'm not even sure that's what he wants. Anyway... those tools he has working for him are my new #1 candidates for being shot by Juliette in the outriggers when they were time skipping... remember that?

- Sawyer heads back and it looks like he just wants to play both sides and create chaos. Then escape on the sub... with Kate... and I'm assuming Jin and Sun... since he said he would. He likes Miles and Hurley too right? Jack's probably in trouble though. Anyway, that plan is bullshit. None of them know how to pilot a sub. Minor detail.

- Next week.... Richard Alpert. Fairly excited for that.

Ok, what did you all think? What did I miss?

Episode 7: Dr. Linus

Okey-dokey:

Off-Island:

Ben Linus works at the highschool w/ Dr. Arzt. Yeah. I thought that Alex Rousseau being his student was the biggest stretch yet of the "sideways" world we're seeing.

Anyone notice Ben gave his Dad some gas again? Although it worked about better for Mr. Linus this time around.

Interesting to note that Ben and his Dad DID go to the island and left at some point. Interesting... but it still doesn't prove whether or not this is the world as a RESULT of the incident, the result of something else, or an entirely different world all together.

This isn't a spoiler but it's a pretty realistic theory that is making the rounds so I'll give you fair warning

The flashes we're seeing this season are actually the epilogue to the series. This "war" that's going to happen will result in them resetting their lives. Some have learned from their mistakes (Jack, Locke, Ben) some didn't (Sayid). Maybe it depends on what side you were on. I don't liek this theory. I think it would be a real bummer if it ended this way. They should have their memories and experiences. Otherwise I'll feel cheated. I'll bet this IS the result of what's happening, but they'll figure it out and still change things.... or something.

Ok back to it.

On-Island, 2 Groups: Jack's and Ilana's

Jack's:

- Jack and Hurley are heading back to the Temple but Richard takes them to the Black Rock instead.

- Richard makes plenty of blatant hints that this is how he arrived on the island.

- Richard also leaves some tidbits. Jacob touched him, that's why he doesn't age... it was a gift. But now after Jacob's death Richard is pretty disillusioned and what's to die... only he can;t kill himself... the Island? won't let him. Sound familiar? (maybe Jacob touched Michael back at some point).

- Jack says he'll do it, but he hangs out cuz he know he won't die. He's right. He says they should all go back to the beach.

- The great thing about this for me, other than the fine acting, was the set up for a Richard episode. He's getting closer to talking.

Ilana's group:

- I was wondering how Ben got away from the temple. But as we find out later, Smokey didn't want him dead.

- Ben identifies Dogen (and the translator) so he clearly knew about the Temple, etc. Nice to know.

- Miles outs Ben and they head back to the beach... cuz that place is totally safe.

- Sun gets some info from Ilana: They are candidates to replace Jacob. There are six left and we still don't know which Kwon. Who are the 6th now though? Definitely Jack, Hurley, Sawyer and a Kwon. That's 4. Let's incllude the other Kwon cuz they can't be eliminated, 5. 6th? Locke is dead. I guess they meant Sayid. But I would've assumed he removed himself from the running by killing two of Jacob's best dudes and leading to the rest of them being wiped out. Just a thought.

- Smokey shows up to tell Ben he wants him to run the island when he and his crew leave. I'm sure this is bullshit... but still, why? Why does Smokey still need/want Ben? Why didn't he just wipe out the whole beach camp? Must have something to do with the candidates... maybe it is Sun? I dunno.

- Also, so he can jedi mind move items. Ben's ankle shackle. Cooooool.

The show ends with Jack, Hurley and Richard showing up to the beach with a reunion scene straight outta yesteryear.

The end... or is it?

Widmore!!! He found the island... they better tell us how. Is this who Jacob said was coming to the island? What's he want to do? Who's side is he on?

Anyway... sorry it's late... what did you guys think?

All apologies

Just watching the episode now. I know. I know. You're devastated. But this is only the third... maybe fourth episode in the shows history that I didn't see live. Anyway.... I'll be posting my thoughts tomorrow night.... ormaybe at work during a break tomorrow. Really sorry. Was it good?

Episode 6: Sundown

Hooooooly shit.

Off-Island stuff first:

- Sayid can't be with Nadia, because he doesn't think he is worthy of her. And he protects his family by killing loan sharks (who happen to be our old buddies Keamy and Omar) and then finds a beat up Jin in a cooler. It was well acted and junk... but let's get to the serious business.

Island:

- Sayid confronts Dogen and they argue, before fighting and Dogen is ready to kill Sayid when his baseball hits the floor. Weird at the time but after you hear his story later, it kind of makes sense... Dogen was reminded of his kid and why he came to the island and his island responsibilities. Plus... I don't think you can kill a candidate. It's one of the "rules".

- Outside Claire is ready to be sent in by Smokey. She makes him promise he is really going to get her son back for him. He says "He always does what he promises". She tells Dogen to go talk to Smokey or send someone he won't kill. He won't kill Sayid... why? well because he has a plan for him... but also... he CAN'T (guessing) cuz he's a candidate!!!

- Dogen wants Sayid to kill Smokey. Is that a special knife? I dunno. But you can't let him talk to you!!!!!

- Pretty cool that Sayid just goes for it right away, but it doesn't work. Stabs him in the chest and... nothin'. Probably cuz Smokey got a few words out... and you can't let him talk to you. I hope that's not the case. To gimmicky. But basically both sides are trying to use Sayid to accomplish things... and it looks like Smokey makes the best offer. WHATEVER HE WANTS. Well I'm guessing, like Claire wants Aaron, Sayid wants Nadia (sorry Shannon).

- Sayid tells the Others that they need to leave by sundown and join Smokey otherwise... he's gonna kill them all. And basically half the Others bolt (including Cindy and the two kids... the only three Others I know now... well and Alpert). Seriously though, nice conviction Others! Jacob's dead? Ok, we quit. What is their purpose? Any ideas?

- Oooh, almost forgot, my faaaaaavorite, Kate made it back into the temple... rather easily. Visits a now captured Claire... and does a pretty crappy job of explaining to her why she took Aaron. Claire looks furious but doesn't really do anything about it. Maybe she buys it. I don't know. Claire is bat shit crazy.

- Sayid confronts (and by confronts I mean drowns) Dogen. But... not before a nice little piece of information from Dogen. Dogen was brought to the island by jacob after he got in a drunk driving accident that would have killed his son had Jacob not intervened. (So Jacob has healing powers?!?? Maybe he really did cure Juliet's sisters cancer. Does Smokey have healing powers too? Sayid better hope so.).

- So Dogen is dead... literally seconds after I started to like him. Never really liked Lennon... so when Sayod kills him it wasn't to big of a loss, but it was funny that he called Sayid an idiot. Interesting that DOGEN was what was keeping Smokey out. I thought it was the ash? HEY LOOK AT THAT!!!! A MILLION MORE QUESTIONS!!!

- Smokey... kills everyone.

- Kate and Miles try to escape:

- Miles... runs away and ultimately runs into Ilana, Lapidus, Sun and Ben. They escape through the Hurley tunnel. Well, Ben doesn't... he goes to get Sayid (which is kind of nice right? Or maybe Ilana has clued them into the candidate thing a little more). Sayid isn't leaving and Ben bolts. Sayid looks legit Claire crazy too.

- Kate ends up going to get Claire, but just barely escapes the Smoke... which seems to really make an impact on her. She's enthralled by it. Anyway...

Sayid and Claire walk out to meet Locke and the Other. Kate trails behind. Claire doesn't kill her... so she's cool with it? Smokey didn't seem to be too stoked that she was there though.

Sooooo...

it looks like the teams are starting to fill out. Let's do a quick ON ISLAND ONLY recap of where everyone's at:

Team Smokey:
Locke/Smokey
Claire
Sayid
The Others
Kate (at least along for the ride)
Sawyer (wasn't there, but he made it pretty clear he was with Smokey)

Jin (doubt he's with them... but I'll bet they didn't let him go. And what if Smokey promises Jin he can reunite him with his wife? Uh oh.)

Team Jacob:
Ilana
Lapidus
Miles
Sun

Probably with Jacob... but not with those four yet:
Jack & Hurley

Ben

Richard

I think that's everybody... that we know of right now, right? Anyone else? Other than the Ajira 316 jabronis that are still stuck on Hydra island (actually kind of wondering what will become of them).

Anyway... that's what I got here. What did everyone think?

Episode 5: The Lighthouse

Well... I liked this episode, but I'm a big Jack fan. I imagine the majority will find this ep a little on the dull side. And quite frankly it did the ol' ask more questions then answered deal.

Jack Off-Island:

- Jack interacting with his kid was nice to see. Wonder who the mom is?
- Also thought they were giving us another big hint with him not recognizing his appendix scar.. but then his mom explained it.
- Good character story... but still need to know how much I should invest in this before I care tooooo much about it.

Jack On-Island, Hurley and Jack's journey:

- Hurley tells Jack that Jacob says "He has what it takes" which is a reference to what Jack's dad said... the opposite, back in season 1. Christian told Jack not to be a hero cuz he doesn't have it in him.
- A little bummed that Jack was cool with bailing on Sayid (and Miles to a lesser extent... got a bad feeling about Miles... like he might end up a body count kill for Smokey).
- They run into Kate. Fuck off Kate. Honestly. I don't know why, but her little interaction with Jack pissed me off. Was I the only one?
- Hurley thinks Jack would have been a great dad. That was nice of him to say.
- They find the old caves. Two things: 1) Hurley makes a joke about the Adam and Eve skeletons, basically making fun of idiots like me who have too many theories and 2) Jack tells Hurley about his ghost dad. Which is funny, because if he had told ANYONE else that they would have freaked out. Par for the course with Hurley.
- Jack's reason for coming back: "He's broken". Good stuff. Seriously.
- I was shocked that they wouldn't have seen the Lighthouse, but Hurley kind of explained that... "We weren't looking for it"
- Ok... the Lighthouse: 1) The name again... each has a degree, makes a liiiiiitle more sense about the numbers assigned. 2) Looks like how Jacob was able to keep tabs on candidates, but how does he find out about candidates in the first place? 3) Also, if Jacob had the names and numbers here, why would he need them in the cave? Well, maybe it's a Smokey set up for Sawyer. 4) The mirror visions, to me, looked like the place Sun and Jin got married, and the church where the funeral services were held for Sawyer's parents. (that didn't match up with their numbers/degrees but oh well). 5) My bro said it best... I wish Jack hadn't smashed the mirror before it got to 108.
- Noticed on the replay that Austen was #51 and it wasn't crossed out!!! Interesting...
- So who do we think is coming to the island? Eloise Hawking? Charles Widmore? My money is on Desmond. Not sure why.
- Who do we think is coming to the Temple with bad intentions? Well...

Claire and Jin's little shack:

- Claire is fucking nuts. She may be infected and "claimed" but she's also nuts.
- So Claire says Christian ("her dad") told her the Others took her kid, and then her friend did as well. So this would lead us to believe that, at least in this specific case, Smokey WAS posing as Locke.
- Fake Locke shows up and Jin is freaked, but Claire says it's her friend and not John. So she knooooows it ain't Locke. Must have something to do with her infection/claimedness.

Anyway, what did I miss? What do you think?

Episode 4: The Substitute

Ooooooooook....

Well off island stuff is a little easier to grasp, so let's start there:

Locke seems waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay happier actually engaged to Helen, who's alive, and drops an interesting line about bringing her parents and HIS father the a shotgun wedding in Vegas. Soooo... is Cooper not a con man, is he a good dude?

Not much else other than Hurley and Rose showing up... until Ben. So Ben made it off the island. Either the bomb never really went off, or it did, but it only sloooowly sunk the island and he evacuated in time.

Ok... good stuff noew. On the island the shit hit the fan.

Let's starts with Ilana's group:

- She grabs some Jacob ash... should come into play.
- She thinks they should go to the Temple. Cuz it's safe.
- She says the Man in Black won't be able to turn into other shapes anymore... ok. Not sure why, but he's stuck as Locke or Smokey.
- She convinces Sun to go to the Temple... but only cuz Jin is there... probably. How's she know about Jin anyway? Jacob must've told her.
- They bury Locke. Bummer scene. Locke deserved better. Which is why I'm still not ready to give up on seeing a real life Locke again. Not sure how, but I bet it happens.

Alrighty. Now the good stuff. Smokey/Man In Black/Locke (We'll just call him Locke from now on) and Sawyer:

- Locke is cruising in smoke form all over the island looking for peeps... finds Sawyer. I'm interested in why the smoke monster didn't do this more or show up more earlier in the series. I suppose he was taking a wait and see approach?

- Before Locke can go get Sawyer, he's gotta deal with Alpert.

- I don't think you can take too much from their exchange. It's like old Ben conversations. Who do we believe and why? Richard stays with Team Jacob and tells Locke to focke off. HAHAHAHAH Oh and he sees a kid in the woods. Locke does. Kind of freaks him out. Looked like he was filthy and had some blood on his hands.

- After getting Sawyer to come with him, they run into the kid again (who Sawyer can see... maybe because he's a candidate?). Kid tells Locke "You can't kill him" (Locke freaks out with a tribute scream to old Locke).

- I think the kid is a new young Jacob. Jacob needs a replacement (which we find out he was looking for later in this episode.) Since he died... he got "rebooted". I think he was telling Locke he can't kill Sawyer. Why would he want to? I think he's full of shit and he's lying to Sawyer. He's gonna find some way to get all of the "candidates" killed. (Sidenote... the kid looked like Claire... is it out of this world to think it might be some weird version of Aaron?)

- At the cave there's the blatant white/black rocks. Could be a lead into revisiting the Adam and Eve rocks.

- All the candidates are listed on the walls. Is this Jacob's infamous List? If so the reports we'd heard about it earlier we bullshit (Pickett mentioned Jack wasn't on it, and Mikhail mentioned a number of people as not being worthy.... so who knows what info they really had).

- The numbers reappear... but Locke sort of dismissed their significance.

- Here's the list of candidates not crossed out (that they showed at least):

4-Locke (now crossed out)
8-Reyes
15-Ford
16-Jarrah
23-Shephard
42-Kwon (which one?)

No Kate or Miles or other Kwon... hmmmm..

Other names I saw?

- Troupe (long story but the dude who was sucked into the jet engine in the pilot.
- Goodspeed (could be Ethan or the Dharma leader)
and the biggie
313- Littleton... so this might confirm that Claire is actually dead.

Looks like Sawyer is gettin' the fudge outta dodge. Can't wait for next week.

One more thing though... a little half backed theory... Locke/Smokey and Jacob both are looking for replacements to take their spot on the island. That;s what they need to do to leave. Or something... even though Jacob didn't seem like he wanted to... like I said half baked...

So Smokey could get... Ben?

and Jacob.... Jack (too obvious) maybe Hurley?

Anyway what did I miss and what do you rad folks think?

Sorry for any typos. Very tired. Going to bed.

Episode 3: What Kate Does

So the title was a little twist on another Kate episode: What Kate Did?

Not a toooon happened in the Alt. world:

- I didn't see Desmond... so forget my old comic book theory.. for now.

- There were definitely some moments where Kate was "remembering" things... like when she saw Jack outside the airport, and discussing Aaron. Looks like we're still headed towards some unification of these worlds.. I think.

- Ethan. Nice. Looks like he must have stayed evacuated form the island after the incident.

Ok... so on the Island:

- Sayid is alive... but the Others need to run some tests to see if he is "claimed" or not... turns out he is but Jack saves him from taking a poison pill. Sounds like whatever Sayid has is very close to the original "sickness" finally might be getting some answers about that.

- One quick note... Jack asks Dogen how he got to the island... Dogen responds "You know how I got here", or something like that. Normally this kind of answer would just piss me off. But I actually think it answers enough for us. Just like that conversation on the beach between Jacob and MIB... people are brought or drawn to the island. That may be all we need to know. I doubt there were any island natives, people were always brought there, and they make up the Others.

- The big reveal was the return of Claire, and that she too had been "claimed". I can only assume they mean the MIB (Man In Black) is who claimed them. So when did it happen to Claire? Did she die after that explosion? Was MIB posing as Christian when he got her to come with him? Has MIB always been Christian? I'd say this is more evidence of that.

- From what Aldo and Justin (the Others) alluded to, it sounds like Claire has been setting traps all over the island for a while now... which would lead me to believe she wasn't time skipping with everyone else. MAYBE because she was claimed! And MAYBE that's why Richard and Co. don't time travel either, cuz they were claimed by the other side, Jacob. Just a thought....

- One interesting note... I didn't catch it the first time... Justin stops Aldo from shooting Jin, because "He (Jin) might be one of them" Aldo questions that or not.... might be referring to Jacob's new List that was in the guitar case... or something else.

And finally... after the reveal that the sickness and being claimed are apparently to very real things, I'm left wondering, who has the MIB/Smokey posed as and who was actually reanimated as a claimed person... or whatever. Maybe there's no difference. I dunno.

Anyway, what did the rest of yas think?

Age of Apocalypse

I just wanted to get this down on paper... um... internet...

Got a theory that this season is closely resembling an old comic book storyline from the X-Men called the Age of Apocalypse. (I know it's difficult to believe that someone who has a blog about a television show could ever read comic books, but it's true!)

I doubt anyone other than Fusco (if he still read this) or Foy (if he ever reads this) will enjoy this reference, but like I said, I just wanted to get it down in case it comes to pass... Actually you know what... don't read anymore of this... you'll just lose whatever respect you ever had for me.

In the comic Professor X's kid Legion travels back in time to kill Magneto, and a group of X-Men go to stop him, because you shouldn't mess with time. Legion wants to kill Magneto 'cuz he's caused so many problems for the mutants and the world.

JACK... wants to blow up the Swan Hatch because of all the problems it caused!

Only problem, is Legion screws up and accidentally kills Professor X!!! And a whole new timeline is created where everything is out of whack creating the Age of Apocalypse. Sound familiar?

Not quite as crazy as the X-Men timeline, but this other Lost timeline is definitely different.

The one thing that stands out to me is Desmond.... he might be Bishop.

Bishop was one of the X-Men who traveled back in time to stop Legion (he failed, but...). But Bishop was already a time traveler, so when the timeline changed... he remained and everything else changed around him.

What I'm guessing/thinking is Desmond will start popping up in other people's "other"timeline, and they'll all recognize him for some weird reason but can't place it... at some point he'll start to reveal his true purpose... no clue what that is... but I'll bet it has to do with correcting these timelines... or some SHIT!!!

Anyway is Desmundo starts showing up in more alternate timeline stories... LOOK OUT!

Fusco... I hope you still read this. And to the rest of you... I'm so, so sorry.

Episode 1& 2: LA X, Upon Further Review...

Ok... watched it a second time, and a couple of things we didn't really touch on...

1. Where'd Jin get that fat stack of cash he was traveling with?

2. MiB/Locke says two very interesting things:

- He wants to go home. Could he mean the Temple? The Others certainly seem to think he's headed their way.

- He's very disappointed in all of them (the beach others, I guess). Wonder what THAT means?

3. How'd they warp to 2007?!?! I guess I left this off the initial post because I doubt we'll ever get solid explanation, but c'mon! How'd it happen? Was there one last convenient Donkey Wheel skip? Was it Jacob's touch that warped them there when he died? Then how'd Juliet and Miles come along for the ride? (he never touched them that we've seen)

Any ideas?

Episode 1 (& 2?): LA X

This is how I spent my Lost hiatus...

growing this rad season three finale Jack beard... it's the best I could do.

This was a pretty interesting episode. So Juliet detonating the bomb did work... or did it. Impossible to tell. I'll reserve too much judgment on the alternate timeline until I see where they take but for now it seems like a quirky, nostalgic way to see old characters and how ALL their lives would've been different. It's neat... but I'm not sure how impactful it will be to the entire story... I'm sure it will be though.

A few interesting things I did see from the alternate timeline:

-When we first saw Jack he almost had a look on his face like he knew something was... off. Also, what's with the bloody neck that he doesn't seem to know anything about.

- So the island is underwater now? Hmmm...

- What happened to Desmond? Did he just go back to his original seat? Seemed like there might be more to it.

- Why woulld Hurley's luck have changed, and how'd he win the lottery.

- Look's like Sawyer is gonna try and con Hurley.

- Something must be up with Christian's casket being missing... might lead to why their in this alternate timeline.

- And finally... I can only assume that THIS timeline is what Juliet was referring to when she wanted to tell James, "It worked". Question is how did she know that?

Ok... so on the island... back to normal time... or as normal as we're gonna get. A few things I noticed or ... whatever:

- First off, how'd they warp back to present day?

- I was actually a little bummed by the Sawyer/Juliet scene. Kind of ruined the finale scene from last year.

- Jacob had a plan for Hurley all along.

- Hurley gets 'em in with the Others @ the Temple. Maybe now we'll finally get soem more info on what the Others TRUE purpose is. Would also like to know how they convert people, like Cindy.

- Looks like the pool is dirty (probably cuz Jacob is dead) and it didn't heal the Asian bearded dude's hand... but it did ultimately save Sayid... right? Might have something to do with Jacob's touch. (also pretty sure this is where they saved Ben).

And on the other (no pun intended) side of the island:

- The Man in Black is the Smoke Monster, and it looks like the ash circles are to keep him out. Which makes me wonder even more about who broke the circle that gave him access to the cabin. (definitely leaning towards the MiB being the one who said "Heeelp Me" to Locke the first time we went there)

- Richard knows who he is... and MiB/Locke knows who Richard is... "Nice to see you out of those chains!" I'll bet Richard was a slave on the Black Rock.

That's really all I've got for now. We'll see where the alternate timeline goes... I've got faith.

What did you, the millions and millions of people who read this think?

We did it.

In case I don't get time later... whoohooooo! The wait is over!

Final series of questions before the final season...

Just one week to go!!!!!!!!!

Here’s my final abbreviated (I can’t list EVERY question I have… they just won’t get to everything) list of questions I have for the final season of Lost, (or at least the ones I hope they answer)

Characters:

Jacob
- Who was on his lists and why?
- Who is he?, etc
- How did he cure Rachel’s cancer, or was it all bullshit?
- Why did he visit all of the Losties and touch them? Why not Miles?
- He said “They’re Coming” Who’s coming?

Man In Black
- Why did he want to kill Jacob?
- Is he the Smoke Monster? Did he appear as other things other than Locke? (Yemi, Alex, Kate’s Horse, etc.)

Locke
- Is he the Man In Black now?
- Is he really dead?
- Is Helen really dead?
- Why not tell jack you were in a wheelchair?

The Smoke Monster
- What is it? Island judge?
- Is it the Man In Black?
- How’d it cause the sickness in Danielle’s team?
- What does draining a pool of muddy water have to do with calling it?

Christian Shepherd
- How is he “alive”?
- Why is he Jacob’s mouthpiece?I’d say he is, he wants Sun to find Jin buuuut, he does try and get Locke to bring everyone back which seems to escalate the Man In Black’s plan?!?!

Richard Alpert
- How did he get to the island?
- Why doesn’t he age?
- Why is he always “2nd in command”?
- Why’d he tell Sun he saw all her people die?
- Why doesn’t he react to passengers on flight 815 being from the island’s past (Sawyer, Juliet (hell he lived with her in Other town for years))

The Others
- Why do the Others go from docile family folk into murderous maniacs?
- Why are the Other’s even there anymore?
- What do they want to do that’s soooo important?
- Why does Ben have people off the island? (the butcher lady, etc.)

Charles Widmore
- How’d he come to the island?
- What the “rules” in his battle with Ben?

Eloise Hawking
- How’d she come to the island?
- How’d she get banished?
- Does the fact that she runs the Lampost Dharma station prove that Dharma is disbanded?
- Why does she want to help Ben and the Oceanic 6 get back to the island?

Annie
- What happened to Annie?

Karl
- How’d he join the Others?

Ethan
- How’d he join the Others?

Jack’s Grandpa
- Can’t shake the feeling that there was more to this exchange… go back and watch the scene.

Claire
- Is she dead?
- Did she time jump with the rest of the left behinds?

Juliet
- Is she dead?

Miles
- How can he talk to dead people?

Desmond
- Did he lie about Claire and Aaron getting on the airport?
- What does the Island still want with him?

Walt
- Why is he special?
- Birds fly into windows.
- Rain Stopped
- Always wins at backgammon
- Told Locke not to open the hatch
- Told Michael he had to leave
- Shows up soaking wet in places
- Kept showing up to Shannon
- Sort of led Shannon to her death

Illana
- What’s her relationship to Jacob?
- Why was she all bandaged up?
- Why’d she get Sayid on the plane?
- What’s her group’s agenda, and
- Why’d Bram try to recruit Miles?

Island History:

Four Toed Statue
- Who built it?
- Who broke it?

The Dharma Initiative:
- Why are the Dharma Drops still coming? (I think I know why!)
- How’d they find the island?
- Who was the genius who built the LampPost?
- Why build your village in such close proximity to the island ruins, etc?

US Army
- How’d they find it?
- How’d they piss off the Others?
- Why’d they never come back to the island?

Hieroglyphs?

Orchid Timeline
- During some flashes we see:
o No Orchid station but a well
o No well at all
o A well filled in with boulders

Other Random Questions:

Why do all the babies on the island die?

What’s with the moving cabin?
What’s with the ring of dirt/ash/dust around the cabin?
How is his cabin warping around the island?
Why is Christian Shepard hanging out in it?
Why use a cabin that Horace Goodspeed built?
Who’s been using it?
Who broke the ring of ash?
Why burn it down? What’s it power?

Adam and Eve
Black and White Stones
Who are they?

The Black Rock
Why is it in the middle of the island?
How’d it get there?

What are the Number all about? (already know if you play the online games during the summer, but it might not count)

What’s the Temple?
How id it heal Ben?

Why did Jacob give Hugo the guitar case?

When Ajira crashed on the island, why were the numbers playing again?

Why was the Dharma registration shack left alone when the Others took over? They didn’t do ANYTHING with it?!?

During the time flashes, who arrived at the old beach camp in the outriggers? And who took the Zodiac? Who followed Sawyer and crew and started shooting at them (I think Juliet shot one)?

There plan to get back to the island was very wishy washy and I’m not sure we’ll get any clear answers for why it happened but…
Why’d Jack/Kate/Hurley/Sayid get warped to 1977 (3 years passed for Sawyer’s group and 3 year’s had passed for Jack’s… pretty big coincidence) and Sun Ben and Locke stay in the present?
What was the big deal with the shoes?

Did Jughead blow up? Did it cause the reset?

Questions answered?

I'm getting pretty AMPED for Lost to start here in a couple of weeks... so amped in fact that I flew down to LAX (the name of the first episode this season! well actually it's LA X... hmmm.... anyway...) to check for clues... instead I went to Disneyland and got drunk with my baby brother (say that like Charlie's older brother said it to Charlie... always made me makes me chuckle). So drunk in fact that I tried to give myself a sweet Locke eye scar:

Pretty devoted right?

So we're approaching the final season where we've been promised a bunch of answers, and I thought we'd go back and look at my list of questions from BEFORE season 5 and see what was answered last season.

Here goes...

Smoke Monster
What? How? When? Why? Where?
Does it scan people?
Does it inhabit dead bodies, like Christian and Yemi? Cuz both bodies are missing.
Did it scan Juliette like Eko? Or something else?
Can Ben summon smokey?

Well, nothing is definite, but I 'll go ahead and hypothesize here... the Smoke monster is the security system/judge of the island... yes it scans people and yes it takes the form of other bodies... seems like they have to be dead though: Yemi, Alex.... Locke. I think it's the man in black from the beach. He's the smoke monster and he's Locke... what I'm not sure of is if he's also Christian Shepherd or not(might be Jacob or speaking for Jacob like he says) But I'll try and leave the extra questions for a later date)

The Sickness / Vaccine / Quarantine
What’s real, what isn’t?

Not sure we'll ever get a full fledged answer here. i think it may have been the gas that Ben and the Others released ( or at least that's what the quarantine signs were for) I think Alex's crew was legitimately driven crazy by the smoke monster... and maybe Eko slowly went nuts after his smoke confrontation (although it didn't happen to Juliet after she got scanned... so forget it)

Nigerian Drug Plane
How’d it get there? Although I think it’ll have something to do with the Island moving now.

Hey! I was right... the island moves in location.

Four Toed Statue

Well you can read online what this statue is... it was officially released on abc.com some sort of Egyptian god... duh... I'm sure it'll play a bigger role along with...

Island history? Let’s have some.

... this. Many questions answered and TONS more proposed in Season 5 on this stuff. More later.

Island Time
Did Locke move it in time, location, what? Why do different degrees of arrival equal different
time frames? And is it only on the surface of the water? Cuz the plane crashed pretty
conveniently in the same time as the Others existed.

Yep Locke moved it in time... not sure if we'll get more on the angels or not though.

The Others
How did they brainwash the tail section passengers to their “cause”?

- Doubt we'll get anything good. I'll bet it's room 23.

Were they trying to take Eko? Was he a good person or just a threat?

- they'll never say. Little things like this we had better just "give up on".

Why do the Others go from docile family folk into murderous maniacs? Why are the Other’s
even there anymore? What do they want to do that’s soooo important?

- They better say what their major purpose is, and it can't just be "We protect the island"

Why do the important one’s always go on the missions? Ben, Ethan, we know why Goodwin

- Well Ben was screwing over Goodwin, but it was stupid to have Ethan go. I think Jacob told Richard (or Richard lied about it) to go check on Locke... that's how Ben got caught in Season 2.

What was there ultimate plan with Claire? (was Juliette on board?)

- Ethan freaked out. Not sure why Juliette ultimately doesn't do the right thing on the Other's end... guess she just gave up trying...

Why the fake outfits?

- give up on

Why did Ben try and convince Locke that he didn’t have to push the button, when it’s clear he
wanted them to keep doing it?

- give up on

The Others can’t REALLY believe they are the good guys right? They’re delusional?

- We'll see

Why didn’t they know about Desmond’s boat?

- give up on... but still dumb.

Did they not know the result of not pushing the button?

- probably not... and maybe Ben just wanted to fuck with Locke.

Why don’t the Others have good medical supplies, ie crash cart?

- give up on

Why didn’t Ben just leave to get his surgery?

- this still bugs me.

How do they travel to and from the island with ease?

- Well you can warp off from the Orchid (but then you can't return). I guess they just use the sub.

Do they really use the sub to get to and from the island?

- Yes?

How did they get Locke’s dad onto the island? I thought outside comm. Was down?

- Still bugs me...

Why do all the babies on the island die?

- Probably something to do with Jughead

How do they know Sawyer killed the shrimp shack guy?

- doesn't make sense... give up on... unless Jacob told them

Why did they need Locke to kill his dad?

- Dunno

How does Richard Alpert Age?

- This will be addressed in S6, gotta be right?

What happened to Annie?

- Love to know this...

Is Mikhail really dead?

- Looks like it

Room 23, Brainwashing? Is that how they got the tailies?

- for lack of a better answer I'll say yes.

Where’d Karl come from?

- Probably give up on, but this really doesn't make sense. A final Dharma kid that they stole?

Who led the Others before Ben?

- Charles Widmore... and Eloise Hawking before him.

Horace Goodspeed time loop? He had an Arrow logo? Was the Arrow a mathematics related
station? If he said he'd been dead for 12 years, that's when the Purge happened. Danielle's story
doesn't add up with that... hmmmm???

- The arrow was a defense station... Danielle was on an Other occupied portion of the island and the DI stayed away. lame but that's how you can explain it. The time loop was just an island dream to help Locke. Although, I'd love to know why HE built the cabin that Jacob (or is it) uses. Ok no new questions... yet.

Jacob
Who was on his list and why?

- How about ANY of his lists.

Who is he?, etc
How did he cure Rachel’s cancer, or was it all bullshit?

- Jacob will be a huge focus this season I'm sure.

What’s with the moving cabin?
What’s with the ring of dirt/ash/dust around the cabin?
How is his cabin warping around the island?
Why is Christian Shepard hanging out in it?
Why use a cabin that Horace Goodspeed built?

- Gotta know this before it's over... My current theory? Man in Black is the "someone" Ilana said has been using it. AND he was the one who said "Heeeelp Meeee" to Locke in the first visit to the cabin. I also think Jacob might have used it to travel off the island. It's clearly important otherwise Ilana and crew wouldn't have burned the sumbitch to the ground.

The Dharma Initiative:
Why are the Dharma Drops still coming?

- I think it has to do with the island angles Faraday mentioned. I'll bet they were launched/dropped yeeeaaars ago and are now just arriving based on their trajectory going into the island.

Who’s in charge now?

- I think it's dead.

Why Lockdowns?

- to keep people away from the food drops. so they don't ask questions.

Kelvin Inman, when was he recruited, must’ve been just before the purge.

- Yes.

Swan Station
Most stuff won’t get answered
What was the incident?

- Jack dropping Jughead and Juliette blowing it up

Hieroglyphs?

- link to the island history, hopefully more in season 6.

Arrow Station
What was it for?

- A defense station.

The trunk: Army knife, Glass Eye, Film Piece

- well the army knife is from the WWII soldiers that were there at some point, someone jsut put it there. No clue on the eye. No clue why Radzinksy decided to splice up the film and hide pieces.

The Staff Station
Escape hatch?

- give up on

The Pearl Station:
What happened to the place where the tubes land?

- give up on

Why lie about the insignificance of the Swan hatch?

- give up on

Other Characters:

Libby:
mental hospital
Husband David

- producers basically said she went crazy after her husband died and that's how she wound up at Santa Rosa and why she probably had an affection for Hurley.

Razinksy,
Blastdoor map… also, why’d he edit the movie.

- Well we know a lot more about him.... The swan was his pet project and I'll bet he just happened to be down there with Kelvin when the purge happened. Still not sure why he built the map... I guess in black light so the hostiles woudln't find it. And he was probably doing it form memory. Im ok with that.

Charles Widmore
Did he really fake the plane crash? Or was it Ben?

- It was Charles.

How does he really know about the island?

- We lived there... not sure how HE got there though.

How’d he get the DI knowledge?

- He ordered the purge.

What rules were changed when Widmore killed Alex?

- Dunno. Don't kill Others?

Why can't Ben kill Widmore? Vice versa?

- Same thing

Why is Widmore having nightmares?

- Cuz he's a rotten son of a bitch?

Why won't Ben be able to find Penny?

- cuz she was hiding. nothing else. haha. And he found her with relative ease. hahah

Penny Widmore
Still not sure how she knew to look for the magnetic anomalies… but this one might belong in the
other category of questions that won’t get answered.

- give up on

Matthew Abadon
Who the hell is he?

- Works for Widmore, and Widmore knew to check in on Locke, which is why I'm sure he had Abadon check in on Locke at the Hospital (Abadon was an orderly), and sort of put the idea in Locke's head to go on a walkabout. Although that would suggest that Widmore KNEW the plane would crash when it would... which would be tough to pull off.

Claire
- Is she dead?

- Doubt it.

Faraday
Why is Faraday so broken up about the 815 flight being found?
Bad Memory?
How can Desmond be his constant, I thought you couldn’t alter the future, or whatever?
How does Faraday know so much about the DI?

- I think Faraday's mind skipped so much after his experiments you can make the case for just about anything here. His Dharma research is sort of explained through his time in Ann Arbor... but still doesn't explain why he had it to begin with.

Charlotte
Was she born on the island?

- Yep

How’d she leave?

- evacuated

Miles

How can he talk to dead people?

- Well Braum said he knew when he tried to recruit Miles.. so maybe we'll find out.

Why did he want 3.2 million dollars?

- Twice what Widmore was paying him to find Ben.

Jin

Is Jin dead?

- nope... well maybe now... haha

Desmond:

Is what he and Minkowski experienced the Sickness?

- Might be actually... yeah. Lots of sicknesses

Do you need to travel on specific coordinates?

- Well, yeah

Did Desmond lie about his last Charlie vision?

- Still need to see Claire and Aaron get into a helicopter and fly to safety don't we.

How did the Hatch explosion let Desmond sort of float through time? How can he see the future?

- give up on

Time lady, how does she fit in?

- Eloise sort of knows how things play out. She was their to guide him.

Christian Shepherd
How is he “alive”?
Why is he Jacob’s mouthpiece?

- Big focus of S6 I hope.

Danielle

- There are all sorts of holes in her story…

- Actually they pieced it all together with a few leaps of faith pretty nicely.

Adam and Eve
Black and White Stones
Who are they?

- Season 6 definitely

Richard Alpert
What's with the items Richard shows to Locke?

- The compass was his.

How is an ageless Richard traveling all over the world?

- Not sure how, the sub sometimes... the creepy way Others get off the island other times... I'm sure they have ways. And he knew to visit cuz Locke told him too!

Walt’s special-ness
Birds fly into windows.
Rain Stopped
Always wins at backgammon
Told Locke not to open the hatch
Told Michael he had to leave
Shows up soaking wet in places
Kept showing up to Shannon
Sort of led Shannon to her death

- I'm losing faith and think this might end up being a "give up on" which will be a travesty.

Questions from the finale:

How does the donkey wheel export you?

- it just does.

WHy Boone, Charlie, and Libby?

- give up on

What was Sawyer's
favor?

- take care of his daughter

Charlotte, born on the island?

- yep

WHy would Miles want to stay?

- what else is he gonna do?

Sun: Who does she blame for
Jin's death besides her father? Jack?

- Her father and Ben... she shouldn't have any idea that it was Ben who blew up the freighter, no one would no, but whatever.

Also how would any of that make sense to her father, since
the cover story just had them craching adn that's it? How did Sun afford to purchase her father's
company?

- give up on

What are her plans with Charles Widmore?

- To kill Ben Linus

WHy is Hurley seeing dead people?

-Hurley is special

Jack too?
Island messenger?

- Season 6.

Who is Claire saying not to bring back in Kate's dream?
Aaron?

- Locker or Aaron?

How'd Locke make it off the island?

- He donkey wheel warped

What terrible things happened that forced Locke to leave?

- The island was skipping through time melting everyone's brains

Who does Ben mean, when he says EVERYONE needs to comeback?
Jack, Kate, Sayid, Hurley, Sun, Aaron, Locke, Ben? Lapidus? Desmond? Walt? Ji Yeon?

- Well who knows? He probably meant everyone, we heard Eloise's speech. they did the best they could and we ended up with the second half of season 5.

Ok... I might try and fast forward through Season 5 again before the beginning of the season and add to this list of questions... THE FINAL LIST OF QUESTIONS!!! I'll leave off stuff I don't think we have a shot at getting answered. If not... I'll just start with my recaps that all 5 of you read religiously. (at least let me think that)

Bye bye.
