Ok... watched it a second time, and a couple of things we didn't really touch on...
1. Where'd Jin get that fat stack of cash he was traveling with?
2. MiB/Locke says two very interesting things:
- He wants to go home. Could he mean the Temple? The Others certainly seem to think he's headed their way.
- He's very disappointed in all of them (the beach others, I guess). Wonder what THAT means?
3. How'd they warp to 2007?!?! I guess I left this off the initial post because I doubt we'll ever get solid explanation, but c'mon! How'd it happen? Was there one last convenient Donkey Wheel skip? Was it Jacob's touch that warped them there when he died? Then how'd Juliet and Miles come along for the ride? (he never touched them that we've seen)
Any ideas?

I thought Jin wanted to get away from Sun's father for good so the money is to help them hide. I am prolly wrong, but it makes sense to me.
ReplyDeleteYeah I hope that's what he has the money for too, but I was just trying to think HOW he got it. If he were rich, he wouldn't be working for Paik anymore anyway.
ReplyDeleteI'll bet they have a new storyline for him where he stole money from Sun's father and it was his intent to start that new life for them in America.
Since everything is a little "off" in the flash-sideways world, I'm wondering if Sun and Jin's situation is different than it was before. Maybe in this world, Sun never learned to speak English? I'm also wondering if Claire is pregnant...they certainly didn't show her stomach.
ReplyDeleteAnnie was out of town for the premier, so I rewatched it with her yesterday...and also the hour-long recap episode. It was fascinating what they touched on in the recap...many details that really showcase how "off" things really are at LA X.
Good point about Jin. I guess anything is in play. And now I wish I hadn't deleted that preview show.

Also, apparently Desmond WAS wearing a wedding ring in his brief appearance sooooo... there's that.

That's fantastic! The fact that this dude didn't pick up on that and STILL enjoys this show with all ofvthe mysteries , twists and turns is pretty unbelievable. No extra jokes here. Just imagining that conversation. Haha
