There's also Ghost Boy/Young Jacob. Although I guess he's really not a ghost since other people can see him. Can we talk about this creepy son of a bitch? A couple things:
ReplyDelete-It has to be Jacob right? I mean who else could it be? (Stupid question, because it could be whoever the hell they want it to be.)
-Did he get older? I thought the kid was younger the first time we saw him.
Good call. yeah I think he's Jacob, and yeah I think he's getting older. So maybe Locke is on a pretty quick timetable. Like you can kill Jacob but he just comes back and starts growing again.
ReplyDeleteRegarding Jacob being the kid...why would he go through all that trouble finding candidates, if he can regenerate like Wolverine? Would the candidates be there to replace MIB then if Jacob can come back? I am sure the resident expert can explain this to me.
ReplyDeleteOh and I hope they discuss (maybe they have and I missed it) how Rose felt better on the island and how Jacob healed Juliet's sister of cancer as well. I know the island has powers but Juliet's sister was healed off the island. I am hoping they go into that when they do Juliet's story (if they have time).
ReplyDeleteExcellent, EXCELLENT point Montoya! If the kid was just generating anyway, why would he need a replacement. Maybe he wants out too? Maybe he isn't as "nice" of a guy as we think? Or maybe you just blew the feldgeling (word? sp?) theory out of the water. Could be the second thing you said though, maybe someone's there to replace MIB.
ReplyDeleteAs for Juliet... tough call, I don't think we'll have time for anymore of her backstory, and at this point I'm just gonne believe that Jacob really did cure her cancer. Probably another "gift" touch. As for the others, it's just the island's magnificent healing properties. WHy? No clue.
