Episode Recap: He's Our You

Sort of a classic Lost episode. Pretty conventional flashback, only this one filled in plenty of holes (holes I think most of ASSUMED anyway, but still...) I like the show's direction right now. I imagine we'll be getting an ep like this for both Hurley and Kate soon too.

Anyway Sayid... still one of the best characters.

Again, mostly just holes filled in, but here were a couple things I found interesting:

- Ilanna doesn't appear to be working for Ben... or at least she doesn't know she is. Buuuuuut... Ben looked genuinely surprised that Sayid was on the plane. Buuuuuut.... quite a coincidence that she just happened to grab that flight. So whoever hired her must've known something was up with that flight. My guess, the only one I can come up with is Widmore. Buuuuuut.... if Widmore hired her, how'd he know about the flight plan unless he;s in communication with Eloise Hawking? Could she be playing both sides? Could they ALL be working together?

- During the Dharma jury session, Radzinski threatens to call Ann Arbor to get decision. Well, I'm sure he was referring to Michigan University where the DeGroots did their research, and started the Dharma Initiative. Maybe we'll see some more of them after all.

- Sayid shoots Ben. Pretty powerful scene. I doubt he's dead... cuz he exists in the future. Unless Faraday was wrong about changing the future. What I'm really wondering about is whether Ben remembered all of the Losties when they showed up on the island, or if his memory was like Desmond's where it just sort of came to him after it happened in the past. I still liek the theory that Desmond is a unique case. So if we go that way... Ben did a hell of a job pretending not to know any of these people for so long.

Sayid gone lone wolf.

That's what I got. Thoughts?

Episode Recap: Namaste

I thought this was another great episode, but if you're not a Lost superfan (and let's face it, if you're reading this... you are) I could see it being a little boring. it didn't do a whole lot to advance any storyline, and in fact it was really more of a catch up episode and a little transition.

After watching it once and a quick second watch... here are my thoughts/questions/theories.

2 sets of stories. Sun & Co, and Jack/Sawyer

Let's go Sun first.

Sun:

- Get to see more of the plane crash and unfortunately the bad guy from Son In Law (you all saw it) gets a branch through the abdomen. Poor bastard.

- They definitely crashed on a runway... I'm saying the runway that Kate and Sawyer were helping to build in Season 3, which leads me to believe they are in the "current" time on the island... only stuff we see later (which we'll get to later) says otherwise. OTHERwise. HAHAHAHA

- We got confirmation that it was Frank and Sun who took off in the boat to the other island... not sure how the survivors know that though since they beat up Ben and left him there. Must have found him, and made the assumption. Ok, I guess.

- They make it to the barracks (but did they just see Smokey at the dock?!?!). Then they run into Christian. It looks like he's got plans for Sun, and I'm sure she'll be on board. But my biggest question is "what year is it?" When Sawyer and Hurley were living in Othertown, before Keamy blew it up... wouldn't they have seen the Dharma building that was blown to hell and seen the yearbook photos they had up there? ALSO!!!! The numbers were being played as they were crashing... so maybe it's right after the purge, and right before the Others inhabit Othertown. That's gotta be it. Or was this all a island vision brought on by Christian and Jacob? Confusing. I think. Anyone else?

Anyway.... on to Sawyer and Jack's crew...

- Anyone else see the storyline brewing that Sawyer and crew have become just a little too happy being Dharma members?

- RADZINKY!!!!! He actually exists!!! I'm gonna assume you all know who he is. So he looks to be building the Swan... but then why would he be stuck in there with Kelvin 25 some years from now>?!?!? and why would he need to map out the island on the Hatch door, since he knew his way around anyway?!? I'll bet the sickness and the countdown timer has something to do with the Jughead. That's why they wear the hazmat suits at least. Anyway... he's there, so were bound to get more answers on Radzinky. Can't wait!!!

- Looks like we saw the origins of Ethan Rom. I think the actor looked way older than 30 or 33 or whatever he'd be, but I'm willing to let that slide. Oughta be interesting to see how Ethan escapes the purge... and what about Amy then?

- Saywer mentions it real quickly... but Faraday isn't on the island anymore?!?! Think he left? What happened? Is he the dude off the island that came up with the way to get back (Eloise Hawking mentioned some genius) Really need to hear more about this.

- Jack is a workman! Saw that coming a mile away.

- Sawyer's attitude doesn't make a lot of sense. He's been dying to find his people, and they finally come back, because they thought they needed to SAVE HIM! and he gives Jack crap for trying to understand what's going on? I think it goes back to the new Dharma folks possibly being a little too comfortable in their new habitat.

- Aaaaaaand finally... Sayid is back in time as well. And is fed by... YOUNG BEN!!! He seems interested in the Hostiles, and we know why! I'll bet he helps Sayid escape. Question is this "Does Ben remember Sayid?" My position is... maybe? I still thik that Desmond is the only one who can get "new memories" with past interactions. What I mean is Ben ALWAYS met Sayid in the past. So we'll see how much interaction he has and if he does remember him, or if he knew them all along. If young Ben meets a bunch more of the Losties, then maybe EVERYONE gets new memories as they develop in the past. I hope not. Make sense?

That's what I got. It's 1:00AM. I'm going to bed. Look forward to any thoughts you might have.

Episode Recap: LaFleur

Is two weeks enough to get over Lost? (probably not, but we'll find out).

Real good episode confirmed a lot of our theories here.

The internet is hating me right now, so forgive the shortness.

As I suspected Sawyer and Co. are and were stuck in Dharma days for 3 years when Jack and Co. show up. Is it just a coincidence that Elloise Hawking's "window" put them back at the same time the stopped time skipping? Someone explain that to me.

Anyway, way back in time is the last skip... we get to see, what I can only assume is the body that belonged to the four toed foot. I doubt we'll see much more of it... for now. But a nice little treat for the superfans!

Then... we're stuck in Dharma days. 1971 (if my math is correct).

- Dan is a little mind blown by Charlotte's revelation that he tried to warn her about coming back to the island. It goes against everything hes been saying... so understandable I guess.

- I wonder why the Hostiles/Others were attacking Amy and Paul to begin with?

- Sawyer displayed excellent island knowledge when coming up with his LaFleur back story.

- Nice little shot of Charlotte... I'm sure we'll see her some more as a young girl.

- Gotta go back and watch all the Richard scenes again now and see if he has any interaction with Sawyer, because he'd definitely remember him. Maybe there weren't any. Can any of you remember one?

Anyway... I guess Saywer's crew goes about business as usual into ...

1974:

- Sawyer (LaFleur) is the head of a security team (Star logo) that seems to have a station near the barracks. He's got Jin and Miles (interesting to see what Miles has been up to since he used to be on the island (probably Pierre Chang's kid)) working with him searching for his people (on the downlow). At first I thought about Rose/Bernard/Vincent/etc. (who by the way, if they haven't shown up in three years, I'd be really worried about) but they could just as easily be looking for Locke and the O6.

- Juliette is a greasemonkey (wrench logo). Of course she is.

- Didn't see Daniel in this ep. But we have a pretty good idea what he's up to based on the season premier.

- So Horace Goodspeed knock up Micheller Dessler (Amy... sorry). But when did he get rid of his first lady (Princess Toadstool)? Maybe it's not a big deal, but I'd like to know.

- Amy's baby was delivered... sooooo... pregnancies must run into problems after 1974. good work from Juliette.

- Speaking of Juliette... poor girl. First Jack chose Kate over her... and now... Kate's back.... I;m just sayin'.

That's about it, I think. 2 weeks to go... so let's go into the preview a little bit. Looks like Jack and company are integrated into the DI. Noticed Jack had a workman suit on. Ha! Wonder how he'll like that. Also, Sayid is apparently in 1974 as well. So of the Oceanic 6 only Sun stayed with the rest of the plane in what I'll assume is the present. Wonder why?

Anyway... thoughts? Comments?

Again, sorry, my connection is dogshit tonight.
